Live Event Watercolor Sketches

Commemorate your special day with one-of-kind, hand-painted guest portraits.

How it Works

• The Station: Dana and an assistant set up a professional painting station at your venue (She will need a table near an outlet and 2 chairs)​

• The Process: We snap a quick photo of your guests so they don't have to stand still. They can head back to the dance floor or bar while the magic happens!

• Each figure is sketched by hand then, hand-painted on high-quality 6”x9” watercolor paper.  Dana captures the specific gesture of each person!  Perfectly imperfect!

• The Delivery: Once dry, paintings are tucked into clear cellophane envelopes with sturdy cardboard backing for protection and easy travel.

 

Timing & Capacity

• Quick & Custom: It takes roughly 10 minutes to paint one person (approx. 10–15 minutes per couple).

• Limit: Maximum of 3 figures per card (exceptions made for children).

• Personalized: Tell us in advance what you’d like printed at the bottom of the card (e.g., event name, date, or a custom phrase).

 

Booking Options

• Option #1 : The "Guest Gift" Option (Popular for Weddings): The hosts pay a flat fee, and portraits are provided as a gift to all guests. Based on the number of guests at the event. Deposit is half the total.

 

*Includes studio finishing and direct mailing gifts to guest post event

Small (up to 40 guests): $600 

Medium (up to 80 guests): $1,200 

Large (100+ guests): $1,800

Travel Fee: Complimentary within 30 minutes of Morganfield, KY. Locations outside this radius are billed at $1.50 per mile (one-way) to the venue.

• Option #2: The "Fundraiser" Option (Galas, Proms, Events): * $250 Booking Fee (3-hour minimum).

  • $10 Per Figure paid by the guest at the event

  • I accept Venmo, Paypal and Cash app and correct cash

• Travel and Lodging: Travel fees apply for locations further than a 30-minute drive from Morganfield, KY.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Do guests have to wait at the booth? Absolutely not! We want to increase the fun, not ruin it. We take a reference photo and guests can roam the event and return later to collect their custom art.

 

What if the Dana runs out of time? If I cannot finish all portraits during the event, Dana will take the remaining reference photos back to her studio. These will be finished and delivered/shipped to you within 4 weeks.

 

How can you ship their painting to them? Each painting has a label to allow the guest to write their Name, address and phone # for convenient shipping.

What does the artist need at the venue? We require a dedicated 5’ x 7’ space out of the main traffic flow but visible to guests, a small table, access to an electrical outlet, and adequate lighting.
